Research strategy: youth, peace, security, and development.

The Center for Prevention of Violent Extremism in Somalia fosters peace through a reach supported by theories, traditions, cultural religions, and indigenous approaches. We engage with communities to get to know more, undress, and be aware of the situations.

We research to understand the pushes and pulls of young people into extremist ideologies, which leads to extremist violence. People are radicalized by influencing mindsets, perceptions, attitudes, and beliefs.

“Every improvement is a change, but not every change is an improvement.” By Dr. Eliyahu M. Goldratt (1947–2011). In reference to this philosophy, it’s obvious that there is a change in the mindset and perception of the youth and other community sectors to be radicalized and transformed into death machines. Thus, we must address the root causes of the negativity and make the change to make the world a better place to live for generations, now and forever.
